I've spent the past three years building software relentlessly. I got tired of the repetitive parts of development — debugging deployments at 2am, context-switching between tools, explaining the same codebase to AI assistants that forget everything between sessions. APxAI is the tool I always wanted. I'm building it in public, fast, and refusing to stop.
APxAI was born from frustration — the kind you feel at 2am when you're context-switching between six AI tools that each know nothing about each other. Here's how we got from that frustration to a full AI development platform.
2025 Q1 — The Problem
Tired of juggling six AI tools at once
The founder was spending 40% of every workday context-switching between an IDE copilot, a deployment dashboard, an issue tracker, a CI monitor, a code reviewer, and a chat assistant — none of which shared any state. The insight: if these tools could share a single brain, the dev loop would collapse from hours to minutes.
2025 Q2 — The Prototype
First agent orchestration engine in 3 weeks
Working nights, the first version of the APxAI Hub came together: two agents (AP for code intelligence, xAI for DevOps diagnosis), a shared Express router, and a VS Code extension that streamed results in real time. The prototype cut debugging time by 60% on the first real production incident it handled.
2025 Q3 — The Token Design
The birth of TRIPPYCOIN
TRIPPYCOIN (TRIPPY) was conceived — a real, non-custodial utility token to serve as an optional payment rail between AI-agent creators and subscribers. The goal: give the marketplace a crypto-native option without forcing it on anyone, and without APxAI ever taking custody of funds.
2025 Q4 — The Build
v1.0 of the platform comes together
APxAI v1.0 was built with Stripe subscriptions, a full TypeScript SDK, the Brain memory layer, and the Autopilot long-running task engine — a unified AI platform rather than another point solution.
2026 Q1 — The Enterprise Surface
Enterprise tier and a full API surface
Enterprise SSO (SAML/OIDC/SCIM), audit logs, and dedicated agent pools were built for teams. The API surface grew to 42+ endpoints with a full OpenAPI spec, monitoring middleware, and a published status page.
The Agent Marketplace launched, allowing developers to publish, monetize, and fork agent workflows. IronGram — an AI fitness marketplace built on APxAI infrastructure — proved the platform extends beyond developer tooling. TRIPPY (TRIPPYCOIN) was deployed as a real fixed-supply BEP-20 on BNB Smart Chain — 1,000,000 tokens, no minting, verifiable on BscScan.
